I am a mom. My children are my world.
I have the BEST older sister in the world. Seriously. She practically raised me and then helped raise my 2 kids so I could continue to work full time. My son adores her and doesn’t hesitate to say that he loves her more than anything or anyone. Does it bother me? Nope. She certainly earned it. I respect her 101%. When she says the sky is green, I say indeed it does… looks just like grass.
My amazing sister gave me 2 wonderful nieces to grow up with. Sadly, the youngest moved to Heaven in May of 2003 at the tender age of 23. I am left with the oldest, Julie, who is my very best friend and we are inseparable. Not only is she extremely clever, she also comes in handy when my kids need a dose of discipline as I allow them to walk all over me. She also gifted me with the world’s most adorable and feisty Goddaughter whom I adore as much as my own two munchkins. You can see pictures of my beloved Caro all over my blog. It seems that sometimes I forget I am not her birth mother.
I have an incredibly wonderful boyfriend who adores me, is wonderful to my kids and is great with my family. He loves to cook, dance and entertain. He also loves to sing but is unfortunately tone death so it’s pretty excruciating to those around him.
MISC. TIDBITS:
I love reading. Correction – I LOVE LOVE LOVE reading. I attribute any and all intelligence I have to reading. Seriously.
I abhor audiobooks. Don’t know why, but I just do.
My all-time favorite book is still Master of the Game by Sydney Sheldon.
I love going to the movies, even alone. It is so relaxing to just sit and enjoy a good flick. My favorite movies are Pride & Prejudice and Last of the Mohicans.
I love milk chocolate, but not dark chocolate. Give me a Hershey’s bar, a Hershey’s Kiss or a Ferrer Rocher and I am in a mini-coma. I also like Peanut M&Ms.
I absolutely LOVE my iPad2 and my iPhone 4s. Sadly, I bought a 15″ Macbook Pro i7 last year but gave it to my 12 year old after 2 months because I preferred Windows. I know, I’m weird.
I enjoy gardening but not in 92 degree weather (I live in Miami).
I absolutely detest traffic and try to avoid it at all costs. I know, I should not be living in Miami. Yada, yada, yada…
My favorite band is U2. I love them today as much as I did in my youth.
I love watching Law & Order episodes – new ones, reruns, any ones.
I love to watch The Big Bang Theory. As much as we love Sheldon, we prefer Leonard and are stilling rooting for Penny and him.
I love my day job. So few people can say that, but I can and mean it. I work with an awesome group and we are almost like family. That is the sole reason I won’t glue myself to my camera and lenses.
Did I mention how much I love my iPhone?

As for the camera, I can’t tell you that I spent years behind a camera or took artsy classes. I simply picked up a camera and began shooting once my son was born. That was 1996 and here I am now.
